What I like about this is that none of them are smiling and they’re very stylistically posed. It makes it look like a very authentic family portrait. (Though I therefore wish Edith and Sybil were included as well.)
If this were edited into black & white, then it would be indistinguishable from early C20th photographs to someone who did not watch Downton Abbey or recognize the actors.
