In the Moated Grange...or rather Escaping It
Dear ladies and gentlemen of tumblr, I wrote the following note in August of this year and have intended to post it ever since. I apologize for the delay. In the interim life swept me up for a while and I was too overwhelmed to—what’s the verb I’m looking for?—tumbl. That doesn’t mean I stopped caring about this account though, I have missed the interesting conversations that occur here.
I’m back...

Consulting dragon
thebritishteapot:
Oh god I had to do it, I love Cumbersmaug (and I had never drawn a dragon before)
Hahahha! Instead of a wink and a tongue click it can be a wink and a little jet of flame!

tumblr is great because I know the plotline of at least fifteen different tv series without ever having seen an episode
But when I come cross a post about show that I want to watch and still be surprised by…I have to squint & scroll really fact in case there are spoilers.

anglofile:
spicyshimmy:
how is it possible to love fictional characters this much and also have people always been this way?

was caesar like ‘ET TU ODYSSEUS’
sometimes i wonder
If the claim that Queen Elizabeth I personally requested that Shakespeare write a play...

Oh my…I am so very excited to hear about this story! How long it takes for you to finish a draft & edit it doesn’t matter, because I will be delighted to read it Silvestria!

Currently reading some things on spiritualism, and post-WW1 Britain. good stuff.
Spiritualism! Does this have to do with ACD?
roane72 answered your question: Brainy types…
I… suddenly feel less brainy, because I’m not reading anything to educate myself right now. Or, pretty much ever, really.
Oh, Roane! I...

FFNet restrictions →
silvestria:
There’s a rumour going around currently that FFNet is deleting M rated fanfictions with no notice at random. Personally, I see no reason to fly into a massive panic because this seems very unlikely and I’ve just heard on the grapevine that someone has heard that someone else knew someone who got…
Reblogging because I think quite a few of my followers write fanfiction and...

I hear bagpipes outside my window.
curiiouser:
WHAT.
Edit: So, I looked out the window and I saw absolutely nothing, but I’m 100% certain that I distinctly heard bagpipes right below my window or at least somewhere out on the streets. My mother isn’t even watching the television downstairs, so… what does this mean?
I like bagpipes, so I am rather envious that you can hear them. A Celtic ghost is a possibility, although I doubt...

Sherlock Fanfiction Blogs
I’ve blogged a lot about BBC Sherlock, writing, literature, and fanfiction; however, I have found very few fanfiction stories to be enthralling. Most of them just do not match the series upon which they are based or have other factors which I dislike.
One exception which I recently found are the blogs textneversent and waitingat221b. These two blogs present parallel stories from the view...
